Overview

The ATP Theory course constitutes the second step of a pilot’s professional training and is oriented towards PPL holders, ready to start their ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) journey.

The course focuses on providing the young pilot with a deeper understanding of the science of Flying through the acquisition of expertise knowledge before proceeding with the next step (flight training).


Theoretical training

The ATP Theory course, includes approximately 750 hours of classroom instruction (ground school), provided by highly knowledgeable, experienced and well-trained instructors. The classroom training consists of interactive training content, such as frequent quizzes and test assessments, slide presentation, progress tests and exam’s simulations. The lessons are being conducted 5 out of 7 days a week(not necessarily week days) and the duration is around 6 hours per day.

The theoretical part of the course is sectioned into 13 lessons, defined by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) as presented below:

  • Flight Performance and Planning -Mass and Balance

  • Flight Planning & Monitoring
  • Human Performance & Limitations
  • Meteorology

  • Principles of Flight

Distance learning

The ATP Theory Distance course, includes 13 theoretical lessons and a total of 680 hours of ATP theoretical knowledge training through a procedure of distance learning and self-studying.

The student is given access to an online platform, which includes all the appropriate tools(study guides/ lecture notes/ question bank/ progress tests etc.), while being at our instructors’ complete disposal at all times for any clarification or guidance needed.

Before taking the final examinations, the student will attend a number of 75 hours of ATP theoretical knowledge training in the classroom in order to be fully prepared.
